Purely vegetable tanned organic leather
We make no compromises when it comes to our leather lining, which is often worn directly on our skin, and only use purely vegetable-tanned organic leather . This is more resource-efficient and environmentally friendly than leather from conventional production. Our “organic line” also consists entirely of vegetable-tanned organic leather in the upper material.
Biodegradable Tencel
Tencel is so sustainable because the cellulose fiber is obtained from wood . The fiber is produced using organic substances – clothing made entirely from Lyocell is therefore biodegradable. In addition, significantly less water is needed to produce Lyocell than comparable fibers.
Sheep wool (mulesing-free) from controlled organic livestock farming
We only use mulesing-free wool for the lining of our winter shoes. Mulesing means that the skin around the sheep’s tail is removed – without anesthesia or painkillers. We do not want to support this, which is why we take great care to ensure that no sheep has to suffer for our shoes.
Organic cotton
Our cotton comes from controlled organic cultivation, which means that no harmful chemicals are used in the cotton cultivation process. The organic cotton is therefore wonderfully soft, particularly kind to the skin and environmentally friendly.
